No we don't all have Master's degrees but many of us do. I never said I was a tech, if you knew how to read, I said fiber call center. Guess how many of the management team there have Master's degrees? ZERO. They got their jobs by being YES men, but they ALL want us to win, or they won't have jobs and they admit this. This is the biggest fiber tech center in the footprint, in the least union state, and hardly any have crossed. This makes this center a good indication of the overall situation.

We make more money than any management except associate director and center manager. EWAs are just now making real money, something we've been doing for 10+ years. We voted for and saved for this strike, get over it, we are loving the time off.

Since we only picket 2 days per week, for 4 hours each time, for $37.50 per hour, combined with union pay plus unemployment, it's steak and lobster every day baby. Now go back to India, to your 1% lifestyle, or to your paid company PR job from your mom's basement. You are certainly one of these three things.

@pik so you all have Masters degrees huh? And yet you choose to crawl around in basements like a human rat, and climb poles? I call BS. IF, and that's a big IF, you actually have anything more than a high school diploma from the local public school, then you're obviously not intelligent enough or motivated enough to get a real job. So, moral of the story: get some sleep so you can do your little strike duty tomorrow so you can earn your $6/hr lol. What a pathetic, lying loser.

Not sure what side you are on from the lobster post, but, if Verizon can get free money, tax breaks, etc. to NOT deploy FiOS, surely it's ok for the true middle class to receive state benefits due to the lockout in all but name imposed by the company.

June 1st. Is gonna be Lobster Tails and Pepsi all bought with my EBT card. I might even put my pajama pants on for the trip to Walmart all while rolling in the Lexus. Free health insurance, food stamps, food pantry and free lunch's for the kids at school. Oh yeah the state will pick the tab up for continuing my job training. WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"All management want union to win? Do you actually believe this"

Yes f---tard I know this, unless you are top 10 executive or company fanboy. If we aren't there, will management be? No, and they all know this and admit it. Again, I'm just basing this off of the biggest fiber center in the footprint, in the weakest union state.

@ihz Nope the Union is the only one fighting for me and my family.......I know Lowell McAdam and Verizon could care less if i live or die.

Sounds to me like the strikers need to also be striking against their unions in addition to Verizon.

Actually, combined with the local's money, it's $300 per week for 8 hours of picketing, that's $37.50 per hour. This will soon go up to $400 weekly. Combined with unemployment beginning on June 1, yes even in right to work Virginia, in addition to the fact that we all voted and saved for this strike, we are good.

The misinformation on this site is laughable. Even in right to work Virginia, at the biggest fiber call center in the footprint, hardly any overall have crossed. Of course some, but minuscule. Remember, we have management friends that used to be associates. Nothing is getting done and unless you are a top 10 executive or company fanboy, ALL management wants the union to win. If we aren't there, neither are they.

Many of us associates have Master' degrees. We are more educated than any management at the biggest center for FiOS. We also make more money than any manager except the center manager and associate director.

Which fund are you referring too? We have have National, Local and other strike relief funds. They are structured in small increments as to avoid interfering with taxes, and each States Unemployment insurance. When all is said and done, you should be receiving close to what your base salary take home was for the week. It's not what we made in with overtime but, plenty to get by with that's for sure. Any Questions call your Hall. Do not post here.

Hmmm.... that works out to $5.71/hr. what's the current offer on the table from Verizon? of course, you will be asked to do slightly more that march in circles, yell, and push the button on an air horn. but only slightly. unless, of course, you can bribe a doctor to get you out of it.
