Household strike fund will hold me out for the next 4 months of mortgage and taxes. Wife's job takes care of the rest of the bills. Medical , will have to decide if we jump into the wife's plan, hope into medi-share or something cheaper. Either way we are healthy and have some solid options. Right now actually enjoying the strike... Didn't at first but now sort of falling into a routine. Weathers been crappy in the north east but I'm getting a lot of stuff done around the house. Once the 400 union fund plus 425 from unemployment comes in I'm golden. Employments options are many.... I belong to another union and can reactivate my card and get employment within about a week or 2. I can also ask for temp/summer work as well if available to extend unemployment benefits. The only don't side is my sons college fund can take a hit. But he's a good kid and has already offered to go to community college for a semester or 2 if needed. He also offered to carry his own loan so looks like we aren't so bad off. Won't be taking any big vacations if this goes on but it's all good....
Opening my pool Memorial Day weekend. No wait I'll open it during that week now that I am off
I'll be drinking, BBQ burgers and swimming in my pool everyday.
Please let the strike go all summer. I've been prepared, mortgage covered until September. Strike fund plus unemployment
You scabbies just keep my stock price up!
love the time off. getting to watch the kids play their sports, even going to their practices which I could never do because of work. have plenty of money saved. unemployment kicking in. looking forward to a great summer, unless we go back to work of course.

I'm in the union and if your only picketing 8 hours a week, shame on you! We all in this together and if your half assing, then f--- you. Way to put up a fight.
Scabs keep up the good work. The videos are sooo entertaining. Scab fools.
Had unexpected medical issues, had cobra approved by the union local. Take home as much in Relief fund pay as we did on regular checks (at my local we get relief from national and local). Picket 8 hours a week; travel, do errands, visit with family, and work my side jobs and hobbies the other 6 days.
Sleep quite well knowing that all the offers on the table from McAdumbs so far include pension, 401k, and eisp to continue relatively unchanged. It's very nice to know that when I do decide to walk away from the phone factory, it will be my choice, my timing, and will involve walking away with over $900,000 in consolation prizes.
Bathroom remodeling, I need to come back to work.
Not gonna lie, the medical situation is a bit bothersome. But other then that, spring time off like this, awesome. You know this time of year you have so much to do.
Quite good. Got my strike checks and had a small medical issue - fully paid for by my union
A few days off from picketing. And I didn't get wet in the rain
OP, aren't you glad you asked, youngster.
My wife works and makes more than me. Im enjoying the time off golfing, workin round the house and picketing while you scabs are driven to produce , produce, produce.
Work hard scabs. Lowell thank$$$$$ you every day he checks his million$$$$$$ in stock options at the country club.
Since you asked, no doctor appointments scheduled, plenty of cash for the duration. Last weekend was rainy, so just watched movie's and chilled. This week the weather looks pretty good. Here are my plans, open my pool, mulch the beds, clean out my garage. But don't hold me to my plans, anything can happen, plans change. Enjoy your week.

All summer baby!
Asswipe, who said I wasn't picketing? Two days a week picking, leaves how many days left? If you said 5, that's right. Learn before you post.
-ywu, I bet your Union is glad to hear you aren't picketing. Solidarity, bro!
YWU: It's sad you are having to use up the OT money you earned in order to survive now. Sounds like you worked a lot of hours to have it last this long!
I've been boating.,hitting the driving range, hanging with the fam. As for the bills, I was forced many hours of OT before we went out, thank you Verizon.
Also, generally curious to hear what y'all are doing with your time. Are you trying to get part time work for bills or what?
