Like I said, I like CNS and think they do a fine job. They are dealing with the same sh-- all of us are.
So you hate CNS because leadership prioritized funding towards the highly successful offshore development follies instead of improvements to infrastructure. Yup that slow link and sh--ty mailbox size is all the fault of the poor shmuck who builds the server and creates your account. Idiots.
Hopefully that means we get decent mailbox sizes... at least.
We will be moving to Google Mail or Microsoft Mail in the near future. There is/was no good reason for Follett to host their own email infrastructure.
- If you needed a larger mailbox for any reason, all you needed to do is to contact your RM who would contact the Home Office. Mine did it in less than a day. 2. All stores mailboxes are being migrated and upgraded this summer. 3. The CNS people are good people. Think how stretched you are and now think about how many stores contact this small handful of people.
Very good point on mailbox size limits. I have to use personal folders just to maintain.
I still don't understand why we're pressed to do more and more through email, but have mailbox size limits that haven't changed in 10 years.
Nothing is more aggravating than informing them of a network problem and getting a response of "the network is fine". How am I supposed to get any work done when the network is constantly giving me issues?
