Word around the water cooler is Verizon needed to accelerate hiring due the dissension in the replacement work force.

They realized the work load was a problem and they were getting push back.

Ewa here, it's true. Read crowdaround, several people flipped out. Most of us weren't expecting this to go beyond two weeks, since we were told we would be rotated out in training.

EWA staff have been lied to, and when you try to get an honest answer somewhere, You're lied to even more. So of coarse we're fed up. If this is how they treat the Union staff, and i believe it is, no wonder they wont come back. There lied to, just like we are.

So what, EWA work sucks. It's no secret. Long hours, 25% staffing in essentially a new job. We do it because we have to and because the customers pay all of our salaries and shouldn't suffer. Without them, none of us have jobs so we do our best to take care of them. EWA pain lasts until they are relieved by replacements or strike ends. Doesn't really matter which occurs to those on assignment.

Those union hall water coolers must be interesting places to hang out. Hiring of temps was discussed the 6th day in, and even then it was said it would start in a month. So, what week are we on?
