Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

i need to use Google translate to understand half of the union posts

Obviously English isn't their first language because between the incorrect grammar and the spelling mistakes, their posts are rarely understandable. It's also obvious that they must be products of the public school system, where yet another union is doing a pathetic job.

To all my haters on here, I couldn't care less what your opinions are. You're all just jealous that you had to grow up in the slums without the benefits I've had. Jealousy isn't pretty, and doesn't look good on you. Funny thing is, my family could buy and sell all of you 1,000 times over. But I digress. The point is that the public system is inferior, and those who attend public school are inferior. I didn't design the system, I just learned to master it. So go ahead and say what you will, but I'll still be the one with the top-notch education and a great life. Wouldn't trade my life for yours any day of the week. Now, get back to trolling and doing your little strike duty like the minions you are.

Jesus. I'm a band 5 exec and I went to public school. Calm your assdown with the public school sh--. My public high school education was enough to get me into Harvard. I admit that posts with bad grammar annoy me and I draw some assumptions about the author's education but hanging that on private v public schools is laughable and tells me that you're not familiar with areas of the country that have excellent public schools. Your vision is narrow there.

And your post is petty. Even if union members express themselves with grammar error filled sentences, the feeling behind the anger or angst is, at the very least, sincere. I may not agree with them but I can look past it to understand and acknowledge their point. Posts like yours just make me think you're a spoiled, entitled idiot. Get over yourself.

Well OP those who can write, write.

Then there are those like you who are better suited to proofreading.

Unfortunately Human Proofreaders such as you are easily replaced by a computer program.

Not the case with a Poet such as I!

Obviously you got ripped off I your private schooling. I is a proper noun and should be capitalized as in " I need to use Google......." Secondly Google Translate ishould also be capitalized as it is a proper noun in the form you used it. Thirdly, the word union in your heading is referring to a group of people / organization and should be capitalized as well. So since your privy education failed you and English is not your first language let me help you out. I have to use Google Translate to understand half of the Union post.

Thank god I am dumb

Public school System? Really? Let's look at your post. The school system is made up of teachers who are required to have a 4 year degree. Those degrees come from some "elite" schools. Schools like Penn State and Temple. Be careful not to criticize them. The wireless God Dan Mead is an alumni so they have to be good. These teachers use a ciriculum developed by institutes of higher learning. Ever heard of the Minnesota math institute? The basis of common core and absolutely absurd. What else do they teach? The answers to the test that their state funding is based on. Who authorizes all this? Someone with a PH.D. That's right someone with a "superior" education like yourself.

The people who you chastise for going to public schools are the same people who have and are willing to risk their lives in some allah loving God forsaken place to defend your freedom and right to make such absurd comments. Their is a saying - My marine corporal can pick of your college educated assat 500 yards. Those public school people are the ones who built your house, did your plumbing, electrical work, made your car, and believe it or not are probably your secretary, oh and let's not forget they are your cashier at Wal-Mart. You know that place with the blue sign, that you go to buy things that are not American made because elitist like yourself are hell bent on outsourcing. Yup let's bash public education because we have some so called superior education. Maybe we can outsource our military that is made up of the people you hate. I kind of like Chinese. How about you? Nah I doubt it you probably like curry.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. If we had common sense I guess we'd be marching around in a circle a few hours a day instead of working for a living. You guys are really teaching us a lesson! Now you'll tell me how I'll get mine and be RIFed when the union finally permits you to return to work. I've been told that through three strikes. Still here, still working, still enjoying what I do for a living. Eventually, either i will get RIFed or I'll retire a bit early and do some of the same work as a contractor just for the fun of it. The only thing I suspect is different on this strike is that the union is never going to permit you to return. They decided they are better off sacrificing this group of workers to give the union more political power. The company has decided that those of you who work hard and earn your pay aren't worth signing a contract that mean bringing back all the dead weight as well. Basically both sides have written you off. There is always the chance the union might cave and sign a contract but I seriously doubt it's going to happen. Verizon is now moving to contract workers, which is probably what they wanted anyway.

@bsw- I also attended a private school, and my kids attend that same school today. I send them to prep school to ensure they have every advantage possible. But, if either of them acted the way you are acting, I would yank a knot in their tails. I was blessed to have an excellent education, and I'm blessed to be able to give my kids the same opportunity. But I've used my education as a tool to help strengthen my family and my community, and not as a hammer to be used on others. I'm not sure what you hoped to achieve by your arrogant, elitist post but all you've accomplished is to make yourself look like a complete idiot, and give the rest of us a bad name. If you truly attended prep school, then you obviously never learned the basic lesson that is the foundation of education. And that is that education breaks down walls, and doesn't build them. You my friend, are a disgrace. And to any union employees who were offended by this idiots post, please accept my apology on his behalf. He isn't worth your time to argue with.

Lots Of VZ Teamers On Here Claiming To Be "Intelligent". Let's Be Very Clear, Being Educated Doesn't Mean You're Automatically Intelligent.

Some of the wealthiest and most successful people in the history of mankind had very little or no education. The one thing that all of these people have in common that so many VZ Teamers lack? COMMON SENSE!!! It can't be taught at any university, you either have it or you don't. So ask yourself VZ Teamer....Do I have any common sense to go along with all of this useless education?

QRV: yes, I went to Prep School, and im da$n proud I did. I received an excellent education, which allowed me to go on to attend one of the top Universities in the country through Grad School. I am proud of my education, and feel a little sorry for everyone who is stuck in public schools getting a half-rate education from another set of union employees who can't do their jobs.
