May 6 is today's date as kistrd on the top of the website and not the story date. The wireless reorg was last November and 6000 is the number of.layoffs reported at that time. This is an old story. It doesn't even mention the strike.
The article date is May 6 2016.
That is not a new story. That is about last year's wireless reorg.
