Verizon is an evil company, so I terminated my FIOS service today. Who else will join me? Show your support for the union and middle class jobs.

If Verizon is so evil then the moral thing to do is to quit working for them. I think the unions policies are wrong so I don't belong to it. You think Verizon is evil but, if they pay you enough, then they are no longer evil. Either you are a hypocrite or a fool. Hell, they aren't mutually exclusive, you could be both!
Had fios Internet and phone. Unfortunately no tv. Only direct tv. Cancelled fios and direct tv on May 1st the day my medical was cancelled. Cable vision gave me a great 3 year deal.
Isn't like stopping the Fios build even though it makes billions of dollars? Lowell has taught us well.
really smart move there.
Cut your nose to spite your face.
Less revenue, less jobs.
Who is going to get laid off for this.
Hope it is the OP.
Yea, they'll pretty much destroy somebodies life it'll make them one more cent
HIT VERIZON WHERE IT REALLY HURTS!!
CANCEL WIRELESS SERVICE AND GO TO AT&T OR ANOTHER PROVIDER.
HIT THE NON UNION PART OF THIS COMPANY. I WENT AT&T. 20 + YEARS WITH BA/VZ WIRELESS.
I has decided to move my Ds3's to a company called lightower. The gentleman that came to survey the sight worked for verizon and was hired after the last strike as a deal with the union. He quit his job of 18 years to take his dream job at Verizon and they laid him off a year later. Wow what a terrible place to work for, they just use people.
"People are shocked at how pleasant the EWA call reps are and are giving them 5 star post call survey results."
Have fun with your scripted quasi sales pitch at the tail end of every call. Its like fishing for compliments in a very automaton/robotic way. Have you asked why they keep shifting managers from Sales over to tech support yet? Have fun doing tech support and sales combined but getting only a fraction of the pay for doing both at the same time!
That's how it works when you live in an economic and political system that is controlled by private owners for profit. If you have emloyees for 20-30 years and you don't show loyalty to them I can see how they feel like been taken advantage of. I still do business with a company that my father worked for, I could save a few dollars by taking my business elsewhere but I feel loyal to them. Verizon is being pound foolish in my opinion and I will also drop all of my services if the company does not sign a contract with their workers.
You cancelled your service? Wow, you are really sticking it to the man! In the call centers we have signed up or renewed thousands of customers since the strike began. People are shocked at how pleasant the EWA call reps are and are giving them 5 star post call survey results.
"Well when the company goes belly up and breaks up I guess you all won't have to worry about a strike or getting a better contract"
What good is a contract when all they want to do is outsourve everything and displace American workers, we won't have a job to go back to anyways eventually!? Companies that outsource American jobs "DESERVE" to go belly up and break apart for being so greedy and cheap to hire slave laborers at 25 cents an hour in other countries displacing American workers in the process! Anyone that supports that in this country is an idiot. Globalism is screwing america.
No!! I m a capitalist , I will go to whatever company gives me the best service for the price. And you on strike doesn't change it. (Yet).
Most of my family and friends are switching from Verizon to other carriers as well and if this momentum keeps up, we will bring them down. Vote with your dollars people, it's the only language these greedy bastards understand, that goes for ANY corporation that engages in outsourcing...don't support them, cut then off at the knees and make them wish they never did it in the first place.
Well when the company goes belly up and breaks up I guess you all won't have to worry about a strike or getting a better contract since there will be no company to return to. Biting the hand that feeds you,STAY UNION STRONG,STAY UNION STUPID.
Just got back from AT&T, let them know your a union member and you get an extra 15% off. They brought us coffee and dropped off flyers with the info. We appreciate it.
This is Randall Stephenson, Lowell I knew putting you on the AT&T board of directors would pay off! And Marc Reed, you'll find a nice juicey envelope stuffed with cash, left it with your butler.
Canceled all of my services at the end of week 2. Also, around 30 friends and family have canceled their services. My brothers business was cutting a check to Verizon for more than 10k per month, now it goes to At&t. The best part is that I didn't have to approach any of them and say that I was on strike and no longer support Verizon services, they all contacted me and said that they support the workers that are on strike and will be changing providers. Hopefully the loss of customers and revenue will send a message but from what went on in New Mexico yesterday, it looks like we're in for quite a battle.
No, I will pass.
I just switched too and if your a Directv customer you get unlimited data, the Verizon money suck just went silent!
Awesome, i just switched 4 cell phones to AT&T, saved $36 a month. I'm sure my 4 shareholders who saved $9 each per month will appreciate it when I don't have a job anymore and can't pay the bill, but who cares about the future, I live for today! Verizon, you rock!
