If you're paying less at AT&T than at Verizon, where you got a 50% discount, you were doing it wrong.
AT&T is the same piece of $hit company you douche. What good is that?
No worries about moving services to the competitor. Once Verizon goes belly-up, AT&T and Frontier will be looking for good field techs. But I doubt they'll need any new managers .... managers that help run Verizon into the ground. Who'd want a manager of a failed company.
To the OP: Isn't that kinda like throwing the baby out with the bathwater? The assumption is that one day hopefully soon the strike will be over and the union will have gotten at least some of their requests so everyone is back to work.
If your friends and their friends and their friends all cancel their VZ service and VZ goes out of business what are you hoping to gain?
I get that you are angry but I have no idea what you think you'll gain if VZ revenue drops and they start laying you off.
Only a major league braniac would come up with an ingenious plan of getting all his friends to drop service from the company that provides his paycheck, pension, and 401k. It's kind of like if you have an argument with your landlord just burning down the whole apartment complex with your stuff in it.

The Verizon brand is tarnished, I went to AT&T store and it was so busy I had to leave, they should have plenty of revenue coming in to further upgrade their network. I'll be interesting to see if this revolt against corporate greed will put a huge company like verizon out of business.

Wow, Verizon is looking bad. These young adults hate corporate greed and they are the future consumers, my daughter asked me if we coud switch cell companies and says she hates verizon. I would get rid of my vz stock now.
I switched months ago, but I didn't do it because I wanted to make a statement. Verizon doesn't even know I exist. Canceling means nothing to them, it was for my own satisfaction. Why would you support a company that wants you gone? They hate your guts people, management and union. And deep down you hate them too.
Funny thing, i was reading this post and an add came up for AT&T wireless. Whats next, JJ Watt chopping down a verizon cell tower in the woods, he is union you know.

I was working out at the gym with my son and I overheard two people saying they are switching also, both lost jobs because of outsourcing and are still bitter. I think at&t is union also, sounds like they better stock up on inventory.
I have dsl and landline that works great, only $59 a month, also have 5 verizon cell phones, switching cell service to at&t as soon as kids return from college. Verizon can kiss my $3000 a year goodbye

Our family is switching too, and I know a number of others doing the same. If things are settled fairly, we can always switch back. If not, Verizon will never see another dollar from us.
