seems to me that in today's society, union's are just wasting their time. they serve absolutely no purpose now and are just the "little brother" who tries admirably to put up a good fight. I use to be on the Unions' side, however, after watching these despicable, grungy, disgusting videos they are posting on youtube where they track down the corporate employees and verbally and physically abuse the corporate employees (yes, physically ) who have been plucked from their homes for 4 weeks now to do the jobs of all the cry baby - temper tantrum pre-madonnas that walked out of their jobs. Do you people think that is going to help solve any of the issues? Going to Customer's homes and verbally assaulting the employees who are doing your job in front of the customer? who does that? to all the individuals in the union who have crossed the picket lines and returned to work, you are smart. I hope this union strikes themselves right out of a job. You are not accomplishing anything.. but go on, continue you childish antics of cutting YOUR OWN service center(s) wires, disabling multiple small business' and having them close their doors. You will HAVE NO JOBS to come back to if you continue to destroy the company you work for. It's mind boggling how dumb individuals can be.. Pathetic.

You are nothing more than a worthless scab who is unhappy with your life because you have been cooped up in a little hotel room, hundreds of miles away from your family. My advise to you would be to get about 3 or 4 bottles of Tylenol PM and wash them down with a bottle of Jack. I promise that you'll finally get a good nights sleep and not feel any pain in the morning.

Unions are Socialism in the workplace. Its anti capitalism, unless it is crony capitalism.
They make the consumer spend more for products and reduce efficiency within a company.
Its good for the worker, because they can work less and earn more.
Its good for union management, because it creates a useless job for them. It gives them access to excessive dues and if they pay off the union trustee of trusts - access to those funds as well.

I know, the whole world is up in arms over the union people being on strike. Just look at the voting at the shareholder's meeting today, a whole whopping 3% were against the job Lowell was doing.

They are all about to be replaced by permanent replacements (which can legally bump them from their jobs; https://www.nlrb.gov/strikes).
If the union isn't back to work by the time these people are in place they can legally bump the union members from their jobs. Right now that target date is apparently 5/19.
The union people don't seem to be aware of this, and the company is calling the hirees "temporary" replacements for pretty obvious reasons.
On 5/19 it's Check Mate for the company and the union goes home empty handed.
