Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

And the union does nothing. Again. See you again never, suckers.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/verizon-reports-results-preliminary-shareholder-151600634.html

The company reported that Verizon's shareholders elected each of Verizon's 13 directors to a one-year term, with Chairman and CEO Lowell McAdam receiving over 95 percent of the vote, and ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm. The shareholders overwhelmingly approved the compensation of the company's executive officers as described in the 2016 proxy statement, with over 92 percent of the vote.

Despite recent assertions from unions that the company's major shareholders were calling for change, all six of this year's shareholders proposals were defeated.

Verizon advertises on practically every channel. It is easy to infer that Verizon threatened to remove millions in ad money , to quiet news networks on giving publicity to the strike. This may be good for the corporation's bottom line but bad for the customer and America. Good jobs is what America needs, control over the media is unamerican.

The irony is those union folks still post "Fire Lowell on the shareholder meeting!" without realizing the results of the meeting have been already post three hours ago.

It's confusing, if you're loving the money and the work is so easy why is everyone union bashing. You guy's should be grateful, the union is the reason you're making all that money, and enjoying the easy day.

Another perfect example that demonstrates that not only does no one in the general public care about the strike, but even less support the union. It's absurd that the union walking dead don't have the common sense to read the writing on the wall.

Wasn't the union supposed to be there to "drive change"?
