I've replaced 10 NIDs with Voicelink. Customers love it. Every time I install one the customer will say, "Why the heck didn't the regular crew tell me about this? They just go to the box on the corner then drive off."

@ wbl - I know. That comment is exactly the dated understanding of how MOST people use phone lines these days. The union wants Verizon to maintain a network for the few people who haven't cut the cord yet. They're even complaining about fiber upgrades from copper.
