Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Yahoo is getting pissed.

Verizon holding off on closing the deal for an 8 BILLION dollar purchase..there is no good way to spin this during a strike and a corporate greed campaign.. This deal would push Verizon right back into the spotlight, and Lowell will probably write another Op-Ed and put his foot in his mouth

Meanwhile Yahoos CEO to get a 55 million dollar payout, and shes getting pissed.

So what is Verizon to do?!?

Union greed is just at bad.

85% of the union is us

15% is great.

You lose union trolls.

Union needs to focus on their core constituency rather than spreading themselves to every group that wants a freebie from their employer. I know the latter adds to their coffers, but the former is where they can really make a difference that even people like I would find hard to deny.

"OR maybe Yahoo is happily waiting for the Union to go away so they wont have to deal with the whining."

Wishful thinking by someone that will more than likely be replaced themselves. Meet your new H1B Visa Indian manager who gets paid a fraction of what you do. Ain't outsourcing and displacing American workers great?

That's easy, they should do what they would normally do, go ahead and purchase yahoo and then fudge the books to show it as a loss on the wireline side. Must be nice to have wireline as a scapegoat punching bag, even though it provides the backbone for their coveted wireless service .
