This strike will end!

Forget all this talk about people never coming back.. Even in the latest email, it states "we dont know when the strike will end"

It will end, trust me. All strikes do. Whether it will be the exact contract that's in the last offer , or something similar or better/worse..it will come to end.

Both sides will state victory or how it both sides came away with a contract that satisfies all parties or some BS like that

But for sure as the sky is blue, all the EWAs that they used in their corporate chess match with the 2 unions will get screwed. Just like the US govt uses and throws away it Vets after the wars , VZ will use and throw away all the EWA pawns in this battle.

Sad but true, you will train your Indian replacement, or downsized for some business reason. Or ironically you will be forced relocated so far away they make you quit

The union got smaller mostly because they sold off assets where they worked. Right now there seems to be enough of us out that the company is paying a price for it. Blah, blah, blah with all this union is this and that. And just as you are still here after the last strike and the one before that, we are still here too.

Sad that you think outside help is needed to hold a job. I have no relatives with the company. I also have no degree. What I did for fun happened to become a career. I keep learning new things and, if my current position stops being valuable I'll move on to something else. I know I have skills that are needed. I am confident I can keep drawing a nice paycheck until I choose to retire. I'll wave to you in the picket line. Keep marching in a circle as long as they tell you.

To the manager that made it through all those RIF's is your Mom a VP? I am not being a jerk. I really want to know. All the managers know what comes after the strike. And usually i feel bad about it. Not this time.

So keep that fact to yourself mr director or above if you got promoted after each strike. Cause if the big bad VP finds out your age or your cost, bye bye, unless your moms the VP.

Some of the EWAs will RID'd to pay for the strike.

Yes, just like they threw away the EWA workers after the last strike. Oh wait, I was one and I'm still here. Surely they threw them away after the one before that! No, guess not, again I was EWA then as well and oddly I still have a job. Matter of fact I've gotten raises and promotions over that time. Meanwhile, the union presence in Verizon has gotten smaller and smaller. The union might not be gone after this strike but it will surely be weaker, and smaller, just like after the others. If this strike isn't the one that kills off the unionized work force in Verizon it is certainly going to be another big step toward that end.

It might end when these entitled spoiled rotten execs are ousted at the upcoming shareholders meeting.
