Yes, ewas who have traveled from home states far away are allowed to visit home every 21 days, if you don't desire to go home, the company will pay for your spouse or a ffamilymember to fly to your work city and the ewa gets two days off. Most people are forgoing the day off per week to maximize ot, and double ot. Some ewas without kids brought their spouses with them, or have various family members come up on weekends.

Its all about the wireless spectrum auction. People want to talk about yahoo and go90 failures, but the real desire is a contract similar to the last one, to prep the sale of the (ilec) wireline business with a contract in place, its more desirable for the front end deal. With a contract in place, a similar sale akin to Frontier is guaranteed. The last spectrum bid, Vz was the big winner approx 10billion paid out, which also was about the same price they received for the markets that went to Frontier.

Nope, you're screwed. Also, any extra money you make will be subtracted from your year end bonus.

Quit spending time worrying about my job. Sounds like yours is the one walking it's way right out the door. My God you union people are too stupid to deal with.

All you have to do is say to yourself, which side would I rather be on? I will gladly keep my management job. Good bye CWA, really glad to see local 1108 building go up for sale.

"Money can't get you everything, but without money you're nothing."

That's the enslavement part

And regarding money bringing out the worst in people, here is one example:

My group was told that we should expect to be here through June 30, but they are prioritizing relieving workers who are away from home first. Then as more contractors come on, those positioned in EWA assignments closer to home will get replaced. They have also had a second round of EWA staff identified and have been sent to training so they will be ready to start rotating in within 2 weeks as well.

"Yes, money is a very important thing. Without money you can't do anything. Did you see those homeless people?"

Money is a tool of control and enslavement, enslavement of one hunan that has more of it over another. It's printed out of thin air and backed by nothing but debt (fractional reserve banking). Only faith like religion gives it value. It also brings out the worst in people. Again, how is chasing after the almighty dollar not a sign of a misspent life? When you are dead and gone, will it really matter how much you have accumulated? Not really. See, I look at life differently, yes money has its place, but I don't let it rule over me either.

Yes, EWA people will be rotated within weeks. This is all forming up nicely. Guess the union people on here are starting to realize they are in big trouble following CWA.

"They are working hard earning the money that you would be, if you were there."

All i saw from that is "money, money money" and money is your god. Why don't you get out and enjoy other things life has to offer, oh wait..I forgot, you cant. Trading hours of your life away to make money that gets spent just as fast as you recieve it. Remember, you will never be as rich as Lowell who probably never puts in more than 20 hours a week WHILE you put in what, 50, 60, 70 hours a week? and you can't take it with you when you die. What a wasted life

They are working hard earning the money that you would be, if you were there.

I wonder who has hire hopes:

The EWA missing their families, but making lots of coin. OR

The Union drama queen missing their job and sending in their monthly union dues?

Well look on the bright side - at least your not paying federal or state taxes on your paycheck right now!

Truth be told. The vast majority of those on assignment do not want to be there. The added pay is a novelty and it's shine has nearly worn off. By now most people want to get on with their personal & family lives. Especially with no clear end in site. Happy Mother's Day to all on assignment. Unfortunately you will never get this day back.....

Why would you want a break? Where else can you make twice your normal salary each week? I know I was bummed when it ended so soon last strike.
