Don't by the Company Bullsh-t your see here trying to win you over to there side...If they really thought you were useless, and replaceable, why would they be on here with a thousand post trying to put doubt in your head? Looks like desperation to me. Don't fall for it.

bqp, if you saw the e-mail and read it in its' entirety, you would see that the EWA's time is on their mind and being addressed. This is the beginning of the end of the unions. Not just the VZ union members, but organized labor everywhere. This isn't the 1970's anymore. You should seriously consider whether you want/need income in 2016 at this point.
Oh, you mean the Mudge announcement, the Mark Reed announcement, the McAdams announcement. You do realize that this was the 3rd last best offer, right? Of course they are going to hire temps. They have to, to try and keep what's left of the plant operating. Of course they will publicly state whatever he said in order to get people worried. Come on people, we voted for the strike, we are now on strike and now we must keep fighting. Another internal email, from a company exec, that can just be sent to the trash file like the other 100 letters they sent since this started. See you on the picket line... Also it seems the company doesn't care much about ewa people's time much now do they. Telling you you have 2 more months of this? Sounds like they have your back too.

Sorry to tell you but I think this is the beginning of the end for these unions. VZ is going to bring in contractors and train them... just like they did you!!! They are not going to want to deal with union crap again in two or three years forever. The unions will be broken and the fools relying on them will be out in the streets.
The unions are playing you for fools. Forget the long-term that you are supposedly fighting for. It won't matter once you are replaced and if you think you are so valuable and know so much that you can't be replaced, then you really are fools.
It's really sad that the ignorant among you are going to destroy the futures of the good people in the unions. Mark my words. The unions are done. They are meaningless. Their big shots are as bad as VZ's big shots but fools pay to keep them in power. They have the nice homes and fancy cars while you get to work for peanuts so they can hold the company for ransom.
