Ewa here, this 12x7 work is killing me. Yes the money is nice, but it really isn't worth being hundreds of miles away from home for what now appears to be months on end. People have kids, some of those kids have special needs. They have responsibilities at home that are getting neglected. I can see the strain on my coworkers faces now, when it gets to be a month (after we were told we would be rotated after 2 week during our training) I expected people to seriously flip. Not all of us are thinking like op.
Wow OP, I can't believe you had the nerve to post that. I'm a management employee, and I am disgusted and ashamed of you for that hateful rant. Yes, the union chose to walk out, and that's their choice and they will live with the consequences. Just as we will live with the consequences of our extended hours and days. But no matter how much I disagree with unions position, I in NO way wish anything negative on them and especially on their families. They love their families, just like we do and to speak to, or about, them in such a manner is shameful. Please, leave their families out of this, especially innocent children.

Most of those people are good people and would never wish this in a person. Maybe a few would but the majority would not.
