Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Good times for this Union guy coming up!

If this goes on as long as you fear-mongers claim, I will soon be making the same money on strike as I did coming to work!

Jimmy crack corn and I don't care!

Gvq- what are you rambling about? I can't even begin to try and follow what you're attempting to say. Use your words bud. Think, breathe, and then write. Proofreading is a good thing. Now, to try and answer what I can only guess you meant in your post. No, I'm not fighting for a greedy corporation. The company is just as greedy as the union. But for the union to scream corporate greed, and then moan about a contract that is superior to most in the industry only weakens your position and makes you no less greedy than the company. The union is fighting greed with their own form of greed. How can you not see the irony in that?

Good for you that you are in that position. Many of us are not going to get unemployment or union strike funds.

Sounds like you have no reason to come back then. Didn't realize the union people were all so well off and comfortable. Good for you! But, then why are you moaning about the proposed contract? You obviously don't need the money, and your life is all roses already. Seems like you really should have no issue with the contract. Unless....you're just lazy and greedy and want to get something for nothing. Kind of think I might have pegged it. So when we hear union people complain about not having a living wage, and not being able to afford the increase in healthcare costs, we will all know it's just a lie because in reality you're all off playing with your motorcycles and boats without a financial care in the world. It's really just about wanting something for nothing, and being able to support the lazy, unproductive lifestyle you currently enjoy. Thanks for this post. Definitely shows the real motivation from the union side.

Looks like this will last all summer, email came out looking for more volunteers to make unlimited OT and huge paychecks.

You guys making the money and working all the OT, keep it going, it sounds like your enjoying it. This has been the best spring in years. Baseball games, boating, late nights, late mornings, my lawn looks like a golf course, it's all good. Who would have thought, all the forced OT this company made me work was actually helping me out. Dividend check coming in today, this could be a good summer.

I will be having a great time also making money until the permanent workers replace you. If Verizon is so bad to work for and you can make the same money being out it seems pretty stupid that you all don't move on. Why work here at such a bad place?

Who says I am miserable?

Gonna be Best Summer Ever!

Paid to laugh at EWA and watch Verizon make more self inflicted wounds!

Maybe you should quit, I am having a wonderful time!

So quit then! You are obviously not happy with your job at Verizon. Since you can make as much money on strike, why do you stick around when you're so miserable?
