Why doesn't the union give us any details on their counter offers? The company goes so far as to make videos explaining their offer but the union says, nothing? What exactly are they asking for to give us job security ?

You are so full of sh-- it's comin' out your ears bub. You write just like a tool out of Orwell's 1984. This is not an endorsement of the company either because living in what is now a Corporatocracy, they truly do not give a sh-- because if they did, they would not off shore jobs to India. So save me the rhetoric about what is fair, they along with 99% of companies would replace you with something automated if they could.
Let me give you an example buttnut. We keep hearing 30 yearsss 30 yearrrs on the pension cap. Has the union counter offered say 40 and whittled down to 35? 33? 32?
Has the Union sad no to the indemnification clause of releasing the company to any litigation on the retirement incentive plan payouts? "
sh-- like that my lil Union Army ant homer.
Almost 30 yrs and I've seen enough at least from IBEW on how unions work. These organizations as someone above stated, are politically motivated to.. well. you see my handle and the only good Communist is a dead one.
"The union did explain in detail. The union has been consistent on their stance and counter offers. Maybe you don't the info due to the fact you are not a union employee. The company has given information, the devil is in the details."
Gbd- Marc Reed put out a statement to all VZ employees last night. VZ rejected the union's counter offer. Not a sham. Ask any friends still on the job.
They are not providing details, they are providing briefs with a lot of rhetoric. I would never consider crossing if this were a true strike with realistic goals however, this is more about the Union heads wanting to be a part of a political movement. I, and many others, don't wish to be a part of a movement.
I agree we need information. I feel like we are sitting back blindly while our jobs are being given away. I'm starting to get pissed. We are at huge risk and don't hear squat from the union except solidarity and one day longer. My days are running out, not financially but patience wise. I will not cross because that's suicide but I'm slowly running out of hope that we will be going back. I know where I'm at they have scab lineman and splicers doing our job. They want that work as bad as I do. But again crossing is suicide and we would be shooting every active member and retired member in the face.
