Will not take long till IBEW goes back leaving New York out again by itself. Stay strong you lazy asssheep. Stay Union Strong.
NY is the only state to get UI during a strike. Who will break first? Potomac? Will the IBEW who has no strike fund and is relying on handouts from the CWA? When that cash has to flow out how long before the in-fighting causes a rift?
If you jump up and down and say three times there's no place like home and tap your shoes the big union rat will appear and give you union bucks.

@ wfj it's no a lockout if the company allows voluntary return to work. Hiring the contractors allows management employees doing EWA to go back to their normal assignments. Also, by doing a lockout, the company triggers UI. This way the union is twisting in the wind.
If the email I read by the company is legit, by the end of June they are hiring over 39,000 contractors to replace the union workforce over a set period of time.I dont know about you, but that sounds like a lockout to me even if they don't publicly announce it as such, but we will let the unemployment office be the judge of that.

Not sure about NY, but in NJ you cannot collect. The IBEW still has the last rejection letters posted from their lawyer from back in 2011.

You don't get unemployment while you're on strike. You can only get unemployment if a company imposes a lockout, which won't happen.
