Go back six months you will see tons and tons of posts by Verizon ex-employees; angry enraged people, who were flushed down the toilet by the company you defend.
These people were NON-UNION.
Where were the Verizon defenders then?

I can't speak for other groups, but most of the ones we lost that I know of were the lower end of productivity. Most of the best are still here. And most of the others who were good ones were able to find jobs within the company.

Do I think the union is bad? Yes, i have worked with union people. I have never seen a more lazy or incompetent bunch of people in my life.
Does verizon suck ? Yes of course. All corporations suck. Capitalism sucks. Unions who were at one necessary have become nothing more then an organization dedicated to doing as little as possible for as much as possible.
Verizon and the union are two ends of the same worm.
op, I agree 100% and I was dumb enough to be on here supporting them. Now they're out DESTROYING, not doing my job. Over the years I have become friends with many customers throughout some of the local area that I service. I have received over a dozen calls from some of these same customers advising me of the lack of professionalism and training that these replacement works have. Verizon doesn't seem to realize that having employees working within their local community benefits the company, customer and workers. Sending in scabs, whether they are management, EWA or contractors will destroy what is left of Verizon Communications.

I'm pretty certain that every company that lays off people has disgruntled RIF-ees posting on the internet about how the company that fired them sucks.

Op you are right, I remember, but I also remember the union members then posting some pretty horrible crap towards those people and being happy for their misery. How many times did I see....lol, you turned down the union...I'm happy you got layed off....suckers....etc, etc, etc.. So I don't think they are big fans of the unions either.
OP, if you don't like the company then QUIT. Why do people like you hang out in your jobs complaining about how miserable you are instead of getting off your butt and finding a job you like better?

I would be more apt to believe multiple disgruntled ex Verizon employees who say the same thing about how bad their employment experience was, those who express the same issues they had with the company than a bunch of company yes men and yes women who talk about how great everything is. Lol
Oh we don't defend the greedy executives. I'm just sick of the union acting like they are on a crusade to right all the wrongs against the middle class when your list of demands and expectations are unrealistic, selfish, and surprise...greedy.
