Like very other union member before your time, If you want to win contracts, like in business and win big in life you need to develop a super strong mindset… the mindset of a champion, during the contract negotiations , I think it’s important that you know that I wasn’t always the tough, thick skinned, and results-driven people who win the most, but the ones that are united through a common goal just like our union.
Many of the benefits everyone enjoys today were leveraged on the determination and resole of previous union members during contract negotiations, there will always be hardships, but at the end if we don't stand together, it does not matter, the union membership is at all time low, about 20%,
Or we can make excuses, about why I couldn’t do what needed to be done in order to succeed.
Those stories and excuses never served me and if I didn’t have anyone who cared enough about me to snap me back in line and give me some tough love, who knows where I’d be today… I know I certainly wouldn’t where I am today.
