Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Read the fine print. if you can read

Unemployment max is $420 in NY and is sent on 56th day. Deducted from $420 is all income from that week (strike relief, other jobs), and is taxable by IRS and state and city. If you get $300 in strike relief payments you will get no more than. $120, or about $80 after tax. Did the union give you that information?

You are about to lose you cushy jobs because the union elders are just as greedy.

Perhaps you may want to practice saying "would you like frys with that" Or I'm sorry family but we're being foreclosed on.

Enjoy your PB&J lunch because soon it will only be PB........

Hey Baller Less, What an ignorant posting, I hope you don't work for Verizon. You don't know NY unemployment law . Probably don't know you job either.

WRONG.....THE UNION RELIEF FUND IS A SAVINGS FUND! AND NOT SUBJECT AND IS SEPARATE FROM NYS UNEMPLOYMENT REPORTING....POST WHAT YOU KNOW LOSER. NOT WHAT YOUR A$$ TELLS YOU.

Another scab posting...lol. Little do you know many of us have better opportunities with other employers to fall back on if worse comes to worse. And it won't be fast food either. I will keep on keeping on and making sure my bills get paid with or without Verizon.
