As I have said for years, on the day that Verizon decides to sell off the last of it's wireline assets, the true wireless numbers will finally be available. There will be no where left to shift billions from and to hide wireless expenses. The ponzi scheme will finally be over and Lowell and his band of merry men will join Bernie Madoff doing 20-30 years in a nice cushy cell.
Except you are some kind of genius like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. If you want to be rich and have more money, you should get at least a bachelor degree instead of a high school diploma. Verizon offer you 8000 dollars a year and you waste it because you are too lazy to study. You should blame on yourself.

Were these expenses added to Corporate Operations expense? Did customers really pay $19,000 so that Mr. Stratton’s wife could attend a corporate party? Are Verizon customers all paying for the executives’ “financial planning” or Lowell reimbursed to get a ‘routine’ preventative medical check up by a doctor?

This column represents the total amount of other perquisites and personal benefits provided. Hell no, I would say we are close to the tail end of being middle class, with cost of living expenses that keep going up, nowadays you have to being home 6 figures just to be comfortable. So again, 60-70k isn't rich.
Also, this is America and it is the same around the world, a race to the bottom for peasants like us when it comes to wages, benefits, etc and being forced to compete with globalist slave labor wages around the world. Rich get richer undeservingly , poor get poorer and increasingly exploited.
But in my knowledge the Union employees are upper middle-class. During the strike the union says don't let the company destroy American middle-class. So, they are not poor at all.
And also, this is America and it is all the same around world. Rich get richer, poor get poorer. It is not a news! Get over it!
If you consider making 60-70k being "rich", I would like to know what you are smoking? Rich to me is enough money in the bank to never have to work again. If i made even 1/8th of what Lowell made, I would gladly never do so again.

What was disputed in the post preceding yours is the supposed lack of college degrees when it comes to these workers. Most of them have one. Those who don't - mostly oldtimers - have 25+ years of experience in doing this type of work.
I mean, do you really enjoy talking to the folks in India and Philippines who read from the script and have absolutely zero clue on how to deal with the actual problem that you're facing?

Vast majority of people hired by Bell Atlantic in 1998-2000 had college degrees to begin with. Company was giving a very strong preference to these folks during the hiring process.
Offered a contract that allows for call center employees with no college diploma to make 60 to 70k but somehow the poor are getting poorer.
