Alot of employers are more understanding of the situation than you think. The employers I have been speaking with know full well what is going on and are still dying to hire me because they know I am a good employee caught in a bad situation that had nothing to do with anything I did. And when I tell them that by and large Verizon caters to a "yes man" corporate culture with no growth or advancement opportunites for anyone that isn't a "yes man", they completely understand and don't blame me for wanting to leave.
Stay union strong you dumb bastards. By the way your Brothers and Sisters in Virgina are racing to get back. Guess the union line is falling there, better send reinforcements. The whole state is going back. That is really UNION STRONG. What a bunch of pussies . At least when I was in the union nobody went back.
How do you think its going to sound on your next job interview when they ask you why you were let go by Verizon ? They are going to know you were covering for strikers and you weren't an essential employee. Your in the cross hairs. Don't be so stupid.
