VZ wants strike to end so they can sell wireline

When they sell wireline the proverbial S**t will hit the fan because the buyer could care less about a union.

I'm all for letting some other company have the union millstone around their neck

Please sell us to Frontier, they know how to run a telecom business.

Frontier also negotiated a contract after a sale.

"When they sell wireline the proverbial S**t will hit the fan because the buyer could care less about a union."

And no, that's not the way it works.

The buyer gets everything, including the union contract that they must obey.

Once that expires, they're free to re-negotiate with the workers.

FWIW, Frontier has been great in all parts that were a part of VZ's footprint as far as their relationship with the unions. And, they don't outsource call centers.

Sounds like a win-win to me. Where do I sign up for my Frontier shirt?

I think that is their end game. They already did it in Florida, Texas, and California.

They want to be a wireless and Internet company only
