If the company is not doing QARS on you and questioning the minutiae of your day, then you really don't know what you are talking about. We don't mind doing the job.

"QAR is Beasley's baby. "
Yep. That much is certain.
"He has become a liability. He will be removed. The QAR process will stop."
Let's hope so...
QAR is Beasley's baby. It doesn't happen under Tracey Edwards. Weasley is an insecure man who grew up privileged and was handed his position. He is the unpopular frat guy. He tries to be a bad ass but ends up looking like a a regular assinstead. His days are numbered if my sources are correct. And it's not even the union putting pressure, it's first and second level managers, along with a slew of lawsuits filed against Weasley and the Co. Some public, some not known about yet. He has become a liability. He will be removed. The QAR process will stop.
I am sure most of the union employees are decent people who work very hard. You should blame on some union lazyasses who don't want to get hands dirty before 10:30 and have a nice seaside house by taking the advantages of OT.
When did the QAR process begin? After the last strike? It wouldn't surprise me as that is when I turned against the Union because of their behavior during it.
No big loss since management already showed absolutely ZERO respect before the strike. Talk about empty threats.
The union guys and gals have lost my respect. I know they say they don't care but if they come back, IF, they'll find out what that loss of respect really means. Two way street? Not anymore.
@ipy I used to get all good reviews too, that was before the QAR process began.
@zch You don't scare me dude. Life has thrown me some real tragedy, so I am not afraid of VLSS or brown-nosing, brain-dead weenie managers.
In fact I can be a manager's worst nightmare....I am the brains behind the brawn...the clear eyed man who THINKS.
I will never see 2 consecutive days off again? Too bad we can't bet on that!
If I want to, I can make managers have to take antacid tablets.
I am not a manager, but in IT.
How about treating our union folks with some respect.
This is a two way street.
Union guys, do you jobs, so the manager do not need to be jerks.
When this is over, we need to work to keep wireline strong, and profitable, or all our jobs are up the creek
That's productive, if you really are a manager you are also graded on your techs production. Never see a dime of OT, nice try, dummy. Also, who doesn't get a least one grievance a month, fraud.
My district manager tells me if I'm not getting at least one grievance a month I'm not doing my job. Come on back! You'll never see two consecutive days off again. You'll never see a dime of OT again. Zero leniency on vacation schedules. Don't even bother asking for an unscheduled day off. Come on back scum, you think it was tough before?
I blame the union leaders as well, spot-light seeking showman trying to justify their positions in my opinion.
10 degree weather on your lunch hour, you are told, your truck cannot be running. Are you serious, can we just use common sense, yes stop abuse but come on.
And you will get grieved and fired for harassment. A--hole!
Well, from the perspective of a first level who's now a pissed off EWA, I blame this situation on the greedy union leaders and the fools that followed them out the door. And I promise you here and now that if you ever do come back, IF, you'll wish for the days of QARS. I'll make each and every work day a living hell for you until you give up and quit for good you stupid union scum.
Yes,
But we also get reviews, these reviews are on are normal jobs, which we would like to get back to.
Don't have anything against you guys, and I wish you luck.
