Whether you crossed or not, Everyone will be locked out. Just contractors and Managers working..Not a sure thing yet....probably 50-50 on locking union out...

The odds are better than 90 percent this post originated from the media room at BR. Even the oblivious executives aren't dumb enough to outright kill the Verizon name by locking out 40k employees trying not to have their jobs outsourced and pensions killed.

Yes every union employee will be locked out, if Verizon goes that route Monday. No matter if you crossed or not or work in a right work state. Everyone.

Please people, you can find out plenty of info on lockouts, impasse, final best last or whatever the offer is called that they put on the table. It's not something that is easy to do or even financially viable to just do. Company is also open to liabilities if they lose in court. This is still early in the game. Stay strong!!!

What about the right-to-work States? Do the non-union employees that crossed and union employees that crossed continue to work?

@qdn: That's exactly what is apparently going to happen. I think it's pretty much 100% now.

It's sad for a lot of reasons, but especially for the roughly 1500 union people that have crossed the picket line. Why lock them out when they indicated they want to do their jobs? It isn't fair to them and is very short sighted on the company's part.

The only reason I can think of is maybe legally it has to be all or nothing? Otherwise color me really surprised it's going to happen like that.

Eventually union will be locked out. Please enjoy the unemployment. By the way, you should be ashamed being unemployed. Yes. Your wife is still working. You can spend the rest of your life by relying on a woman. What a loser.

Chances of lockout 0%. Chances of management sucking on a long hard one before days den 100%.

Doubt there is a lockout 10 -90.

Why, you give the unemployment bennies.

It would be harder to keep up with the tickets.

No reason to do it. The union is doing it for you.

No indication of that.

Just made up, from the union.

I think it's more like 90-10 in favor of the lockout and I for one am not thrilled with it. Especially locking out the people who crossed the line -- why punish them simply because they are a union member.

I don't think it's a matter of them deciding to do it, that decision has apparently been made. And a poor decision at that.
