They are asking their members to send back the offer details Verizon is mailing to the members homes. Why? They know that there is no reason for their members to be out on the street for 3 weeks. The company has conceded on almost every issue. Is it the 100 dollars extra they are going to pay this year for medical? They have lost on average 3000 so far. Union made a mistake. They are backed into a corner and they are hurting their members.

If you only need 5 workers at a shop, and you have 10.

Fire 5 of them, or move them, or temporary move.
I do agree, more details, about distance are required.
How about a compromise, $2 per mile from one location to another.
($2.00 per mile both ways.)

They are not removing the temp transfer. They want to send you "out of state, a reasonable distance" to drive home after your shift. They don't explain what reasonable is. Does that mean 50, 60, 70 miles? Plus they say nothing about forced in state transfers. I know in Bklyn we get guys here for three weeks at a time already. Will those people from upstate be forced for 60 days now? Company release is vague at best as far as that is concerned and frankly I don't trust anything they "say" to us. They already exposed how underhanded they truly are with their fios agreements with various state/city/towns. Say one thing and do another. They seem to be the best snake oil salesmen around.

It's the same offer that was on the table before we went out. just changed the pecentage of raise.
Verizon already put the same info online so the members already have the info. The company has NOT moved on any of the reasons we are out.

Not uninformed exactly. The union just wants to control what information their members get. It's easier to control the membership that way.
