Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

It is just an example shows how greedy the Union is.

MANAGED CARE NETWORK (MCN)

CURRENT 2018

DEDUCTIBLE $0 $325

OUT OF POCKET $1050 $1700

EMERGENCY $75 $120

Some union folks say their medicare in more expensive than the non-unions'.Take a look at this. Union wants to keep the same MCN like before? By comparing to the non-union employees. How happy you are!Union! Even under the new contract yours is still much cheaper than the other non-unions'. So, you tell me who is greedy.

@HaCrtaU-mmx Maybe they shouldn't sit at a breakfast bar until 10am and reap the overtime in order to finish their job.

Good for the union, they get big payouts to get people like us, in those health plans, bad for us getting such terrible premiums and substandard care, they have us by the BXXXs

"There are a huge surplus of work force in NY and NJ area but not enough in Mid-Atlantic. "

Sure. That's why most of NY was on forced overtime for months prior to strike and the load still wasn't swept clean.

Cry me a river, please.

Blahblah...So you know who you need to blame. You need to blame yourself and CWA District 1. Because of your so called job security. There are a huge surplus of work force in NY and NJ area but not enough in Mid-Atlantic. If 100 people left CWA1 volunterely, you will instantly get 100 new members in Mid-Atlantic. Because your greedy union leadership and their last grasp for power. You are now stuck in the situation, you reap what you sow. And you deserve everything that's coming to you which is nothing!

Even slaves(excuse my reference) were told they had it pretty gd in every owner they got. Its about dignity of 40k members that can not be sold at any price, 100% wage increase will not solve this for everyone. Its a culture issue at verizon and how pathetic they treat associates who keep the company going

Wouldn't we all love to have free heathcare and unlimited job security (or any job security at all). That just isn't realistic and isn't something that 99.99% of American people get.

The union demands are ridiculous, and they are about to find out the hard way that they had it pretty good.

I see you are referencing company talking points, funny how you are leaving out that medical deductions will double, and there is no language in the companies proposal dealing with closing up call centers and continued outsourcing, forced transfers, etc. those are a few things that are problematic to the union. The union wants more provisions to protect job security, and this proposal doesn't address the unions critical needs to protect their membership in many areas.

Your foolishne$$ ignore the fact that health care was used in past contracts to add and remove items on the table that wd benefit the company. Your idiot mind fail to look at other sacrifices such 8hrs overtime used to catch up on business and shortage of labor. Your pathetic hatrage to union members does not know out of pocket expenses on our members when they are stuck at work and have to pay extra day care expenses while your fat lazy face sit on couch waiting on your Fios outage to be over so you can watch porn again
