Back almost 2 weeks now and there is no end in sight to the back log of installs and trouble tickets that were done incorrectly. Another week or two and we could have got back the "44" and gained security for all of our members but instead we decided to come back and vote on a contract that we don't even know all of the details of. What happened to "no givebacks?" There can't be a membership, if we have no members left. WTF?

You came back because the union said to, they got some wireless dues coming in now so they don't care about those with no job security. Now get back to work vote yes or no it doesn't matter anyway it will pass if you all vote no because the union says so.
Read the contract. The 10.9% raise is more than double the increase in health care payments. Is there a scab manager alive that actually investigates the issues, or do they all just spew bull$hit praying no one calls them on their lies?
I'm still doing scab repeaters as of today, but I'm over the anger and I realize now vz techs can't be easily replaced, every install I get lately is like rocket science, what can go wrong, will and only we have enough knowledge to do the job. Not that we're geniuses but experience trumps anything replacement workers have to offer.
Members told to wear red and eat their sh-- sandwich...(period).....
THE UNIION WON WHAT THE COMPANY WANTED IT TO WIN. TEN PERCENT RAISE WILL GO TO HEALTH BENEFITS.
Union won, your lies won't change that. Go wait for your rif!
The only givebacks came from vz
The union has no leverage and they know it. Lowell looking to sell wireline. This is the same contract offered in week one. This is two contracts in a row with major givebacks. There will not be another contract with Verizon. fairpoint will come in and kick the unions assin a couple of years.
too broke to vote no
@wpd you are 100% correct
Vote No
shut up and eat your $h!t sandwich!
Truth is, if Obama hadn't stuck his nose in to keep last month's job numbers from looking any worse than they already were, you'd all still be out.
Your union leadership has no backbone, it is that simple. Members did as expected, jump for joy when a few issues were resolved and let members think they got what they wanted. Isn't that the union leadership spin? Funny how members did not insist on seeing the details before coming back to work and seeing what was truly agreed to. Have you not heard the saying that you must read all details before signing away? That is what each of the union members at CWA and IBEW did, vote for a contract blindly when you don't know what your leadership gave up. I agree, what happened to no give backs that we have heard for years? The question that should be asked is why did the strike end so abruptly? How convenient it ended prior to when unemployment would kick in. You union leadership sold all of you out, it is just that simple. The only folks that were taken care of were the senior members who will be gone prior to the next one. Bend over folks.
Well, The Union did not have them face down on the mat, like you think. Verizon was making plans to replace you for an extended period and that would not be simpatico with the Union leadership, especially foregoing precious dues for months, instead of weeks. So, back room deals were made and a joint 'spin' was wrapped around the settlement.
don't look behind the curtain....DERP....
