Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

PR lies

AT&T's promise that it's building gigabit fiber out to "56 communities" is exceptionally hollow, something that's going to become more and more apparent as users in these locations actually try to sign up for service that more likely than not -- doesn't actually exist

You guys need to quit hanging your hat on this one tool. I explain the "frugality initiatives" as business as usual. I've been around long enough to see them happen every few years. And an svp finding 50 million is not huge relatively speaking. At that level their budgets are massive. A director being told to find 50 million would be big cause for alarm. For an svp, that's big but not catastrophic.

Regardless T is not in danger of tanking in 3-5 years nor is it on the brink of insolvency.

Is senior leadership brilliant or even largely competent. No, they are not. Should our ceo have been fired after the t-mobile debacle? Definitely, along with any other officer that signed off on it. Are they making poor decisions, particularly with outsourcing certain groups? Absolutely. But T is a massive ship with far too much revenue to sink anytime soon.

If you guys think otherwise, why are you still here? Find another employer and don't look back.

1hpk...what planet are u living on??? besides the Altman z score which had been known to be more than 70% accurate. How do u explain all these frugality initiates?? Or better yet one svp told he'd better find 50 million dollars by EOY

Lol, right. The free cash flow T has hardly looks like insolvency. All you doomsayers are just like the click bait websites; just trying to get attention with your outlandish claims.

AT&T is in so much debt it can't possibly afford to build out its fiber network. The company is headed towards insolvency.
