Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

NOW that the strike is over can we stop with the EWA BS and go back to talking about RIFS??

NOW that the strike is over and the union guys are back at work earning their salry and OT I am sure that LOVELY and SHAMU want to thank the management employees - by giving them a PINK SLIP.

There will be the usual koolaid about how this has hit the profits and they will need to make hard choices. And BAM..... U R FIRED.

Any news on upcoming RIFs?

EISPs will be offered before RIFs are imposed.

Take the EISP if it's offered.

Sorry, picking on the defenseless ignorant picket monkeys is too fun. Its also too easy since they really don't have an answer to the epic question: Why in the world would these jizzbags want so desperately work for a company they so violently hate? So far, no response....

Area Managers are being directed to find local managers who a) have health problems, b) have multiple dependents who can't work, and c )are in their late 40's, early 50's, with little chance of restarting a significant career.

Managers who fit one or more of these categories are to be the first ones riffed.

Just be glad you're not in a union, and remember....

"CHANGE ENERGIZES ME!!!"

I do not know for sure but when I put my name in for the RIF to my supervisor he seemed relieved. Did not ask any questions.

Seems like lists are being prepared.
