I've noticed a lot of managers out on vacation this week and next because they had to do "try" actual work the past 7 weeks.

Aren't managers ALWAYS on vacation? They don't seem to do much anymore.
@ibnd save your days for the EISP, or for when you sent packing for under performing. That's right boys, company now has leeway to push those "voluntary" packages. If they don't have enough volunteer, you can bet your lazyass that the remainder needed to meet the magic number will get fired. Guarantee you will see a ramp up in the writeups in anticipation of laying the groundwork to justify firing. They may not can lay you off, but they can sure fire your lazyass for cause. I know I know, RIF RIF RIF......but when it happens, you will remember this warning.
EWAers, SAVE your vacation days so you can get a bigger RIF payout in 4th Qtr. 2016 (severance, vac days not taken, personal days not taken (
My boss has a major "I don't care anymore" attitude, that makes two of us. Says he is going asap, so am I. He was EWA, I am CWA. If the directors would go away this would be a much better and more efficient company.
@eqd great spelling skills you've got there, you "no" what I "dam" well am saying, genius!?
@HIOl2UZ ... so what is your point? The Union tried a strike and lost their shorts. Side by side comparisons don't look that good to me. Glad I am non-union craft and worked during the strike.
Incidentally, I understand the company already have OSP techs going out of town next week. Go Union!!
Just booked my 7 day Alaskan cruise for July. Went ahead and booked the Suite this time, so looking forward to 10 days off soon. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to get some time off and spend with family during the summer. Lord knows April and May sucked, so here's hoping the next couple of months are much better for union and management alike!
Thanks for noticing. Love, EWA Mgr at Disney World
I've never seen so many adults that whine in this site. My god! Everyone just do your jobs and respect each other. This isn't brain surgery folks.

Yeah, we've been on vacation holds for most of the year. Kids are getting out of school and it's normal to take summer vacations. The union's best here folks.
"because they had to do "try" actual work the past 7 weeks." Huh?
Well since there was one of us for every five of you union guys I think we did dam well. Besides doing your work we had to deal with your sick looking lines and all the cables that somehow cut themselves. I learned one thing well, you guys really no how to stretch a simple job.
Congratulations to the true heroes of the 2016 Walkout! You guys worked hard to make sure things kept running. You deserve the break.
Well deserved. They did a great job! I hope they get the rest and relaxation they earned.
You will probably see a lot more of this as we've had restrictions on time off since the labor negotiations started. I was glad to see the vacation accrual cap raised as well as I was already at the 150% threshold.
