Relocation Options added to Amplify

Interestingly we were told to update our relocation choice in Amplify. There are now seven choices: a simple yes and no, along with variations of yes.

I suppose just another dot to connect in order to stay ahead of them. Employee shifting is obviously a possibility these days.

Amplify has nothing to with specific relocation cities. It is part of your ATT online resume. Managers have access to this. The relocation question offered several options based on conditions that you can specifically write down e.g. no conditions, promotion only, multiple conditions etc. Its a little more detailed than just a plain NO.

I know of a case of a person relocating to ESCAPE a surplus and then being surplused that next year. Relocation isn't a safety net. But I will say I've heard the culture is a little better at corporate, which is why other markets/regions (not Dallas) often say "I wished I worked for THAT" during these town halls, lwd, etc. I've heard its a different world (slightly).

Well going to Dallas gives you an opportunity to work for "THAT" ATT....But like someone else wrote. There are other opps outside of the company.

Which are the specific cities for relocation?

Relocation was offered to some on the September 2015 layoff. It appears we now offer specific cities for relication. I'm much happier outside AT&T. AT&The has become a training ground for other companies. The same thing happened with NCR in the 1880s. Nothing going for AT&T or NCR to be proud of. There are much better options outside for employment.

Trying to make you feel secure? And Productive? We all know that a great number of AT&T employees, Older workers face being left behind in today’s job market, the company knows that would be very difficult for many of them to find a comparable job anywhere else, when the surplus comes and goes, lets hope we don't end up in an city where no one wants to be

This is just another tool to get rid of people, Why not to get the right skill, knowledge to the right role? At Google the company’s success is not possible without each person’s individual contributions and unique talents. As each individual in our company continues to develop their own talents, and the company continues to innovate and grow, AT&T ridiculous 2020 initiatives ,but h what can you expect for their lack of vision and innovation.
