Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

HYPOCRITES

To every single CWA member that spent these last few months harassing and ridiculing EWA people for being 'scabs' and then spending yesterday voicing your gratitude for our veteran armed voices....you all are despicable, selfish a holes that deserve a crap contract. None of you deserve the freedom that has been given to you when our brothers and sisters were the ones you were antagonizing.

I'm sorry but I have to agree. Verizon non-union employees aren't scabs. They maybe weak and spineless creatures but these cubicle jockeys aren't scabs. I never treated them as such, but I did enjoyed watching and taping their struggle to perform. Many times offering safety guidance to ensure they would go home intact. Of the thirty or so EWA's I ran into, not one out performed a regular tech. We would watch these people for hours before approaching and engage them in a friendly conversation. Ultimately critiquing their day. This stressed only those that came off as cocky know-it-all's. Especially when they were told of the photo's and video proof. Most EWA's just wanted to get through the day. Those cocky bastards will make fine You-tube stars.

As for the OP and their criticism of a union member patriotism when it comes to memorial day. So few in non union jobs realize that early on, unions set the bar for wages and benefits. Companies wanting to keep employees happy would offer employment packages that would ensure employee's would not organize. Even with only 6 percent of the work force unionize, it is still very effective motivator for employers. This didn't come without a price. Many folks in unions died at the hands of greedy corporations for the employment standards you enjoy today.

In closing I will say that the OP is most likely a bleeding heart liberal who takes advantage of our military service members sacrifices so that they can enjoy the freedom of being a A-hole. Complete lack of understanding. It's the same disregard they have when they report back to work in their cubicle enjoying the salary and benefits they get while disregarding the fact that if it were not for the unions of the past, they would be receiving far less.

You knew that you'd be crossing picket lines when you took the job. Spare me the undeserved pity and get back on that company dick.

Actually I don't work for verizon. So none of this applies to me. What does is seeing the bullshit you guys spew when we are out there on the front line seeing you guys post things about how hard it is. You have no idea.

No way your verizon management. Well, maybe. lol

May I remind you that your salary and benefits come from union workers that fought for it years ago. Without unions of the past, your wages drop 50% or more, along with no benefits and for that matter and your job ends up in India. Private unions may only represent less than 6 percent of the work force today but that percentage reminds corporate America how fragile it's grip is on you slaves in the corporate world. The last thing they need is you running for the union.

Your welcome.
