Or, Verizon stocks were too steady during the strike and management needs to tank the stock for an easier selloff of wireline (and it's Union workers). The stocks will rebound and people will make money, but the Union will no longer be Verizon. Also, let's be sure to keep profit sharing at the minimum.

Unions = lazy and overcompensated.

Wall Street hates that.

Wall Street always hates it when a company is paying too much for a bunch of lazy employees. Unions are the antithesis of what WS likes because the unions encourage mediocrity by rewarding employees on seniority instead of doing a good job.

The Verizon union is a great example: the older union employees harass newer union employees who work too hard. Hell, during this strike call center productivity went up 80% simply because the CSRs weren't hanging up on people and transferring customers simply to get them off their plates.

This is a vote for Verizon's leaders, Lowell, Reed, Mudge and Shammo. They wasted millions trying to break the unbreakable and lost HUUUUGE! Now the market gets to put it's stamp of disapproval on VZ.

Yep, WS doesn't like it when the workers benefit, that $$ is meant for the fat cats. Hopefullly too much damage was done during strike, we're back, give us a couple weeks to catch up.
