Accepting this offer would essentially be a total wash between the "raise" and the increase in health care costs. No contract = no Yahoo purchase and turmoil in Washington as the Fed would love to raise interest rates but will be hesitant to do so with an increase in unemployment looming. Verizon has got just a little taste of it's managements and scabs incompetency. As more and more storms continue to role in over the next several weeks and hundreds of thousands of Verizon's residential, business and wireless customers begin to experience more and more outages, who is going to get these customers back in service??? Contractors??? Scabs??? Management??? EWA's??? I don't think so and the executives know it. Accepting this current offer would be a huge mistake. JUST SAY NO!!!

Performance measures and forced OT to be decided 3 months after ratification
You are crazy if you aren't happy with this contract. I work in nyc and think this contract blows away the LBFO. Our raise is $60 a week and premiums only go up $30 a month. Forced transfers off the table, countless rep jobs have been saved, more union jobs to be added, qar's eliminated and wireless got a contract. This contract is better than our last one and you morons still aren't happy? Vote yes if you want any sort of a future with your current job. Don't get too greedy, it will come back to bite you in the ass
Silly, this is as good as it's going to get folks- we did well.
OP you are a complete idiot. Do you understand what would happen if interest rates ticked upwards just 2% in relation to financing government debt?
15 percent increase in medical less than that in a raise, you are net losing with this contract.
Bang out your 401k, they upped the contribution limit from 16 to 25%. The company is giving us every opportunity for a fair retirement instead of just job completing us! If the gov didn't step in they would have gone ahead with their evil plan. If you are on the ropes financially then you are living above your means, don't blame the company.
I agree, we have Verizon on the ropes, but the Union is about to lose big in post RATIFICATION bargaining on relocations, performance measures and forced OT.
Too broke to vote no
feels like 2011 again, doesn't it? DERP
