Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I'm Voting No

Give me a week to read and ask questions not one day and then get screwed. Sorry but I don't have a good feeling about this. Voting no

Here is the skinny dummies....even if by chance every member voted no tonight, you still must return to work tomorrow (or within 72 hours) because the union leadership called off the strike. If you do not rtw, then you have abandoned your job, and will be fired. The right to call for a strike can only come from the union leadership, not its individual members...sucks, but true.

Right....your vote matters.....this is no different than the 97% strike authorization "vote". There is no independent vote counting. The contract will be ratified by an overwhelming margin, regardless if you, or most of the union were to vote against it. You all know that by now right?

Do you seriously think that your "no" vote means anything? Please don't be delusional. This thing is ratified before you even read it. It doesn't matter what you or anyone else votes. The union has made up it's mind and you do not have the power you think you do.

Do you actually believe the only loss is paying more for healthcare? You genuinely buy that VZ got nothing? You must be a new.

I did look over the MOU. I don't like bargaining after we ratify. Did YOU read the MOU?

I read the whole MOU over and it looks great. The only loss was paying more for health care. I advise you to look it over as well.

I agree. I have been in the Union for 10 years, I remember the 2011 screwing and all I have seen this time are cheers and highlights. I am not saying it won't be great, I would just like to see it before RTW.

Did you just start working for Verizon 3 weeks ago? Cause you sound like you don't have a clue.

Is this what the shills and scabs are resorting to now? Trolling as Union members discontented with a contract and nitpicking minute details?
