I was under the illusion they would be able to train the temporary staff and do some of the work themselves... I am truly disappointed in their inabilities! I realize that most of my managers came from the Union, but they, unlike the union members, can be riffed at any time. So i want to thank the CWA and members for agreeing to come back in and clean up the mess. Additionally, I would like to say that from this point forward, I will be managing much deeper and giving more flexibility to the Union members and getting rid of the poor managers that can no longer get the job done. When I say get the job done I mean if they can not perform the duties of the personnel they supervise, they will be gone. Also i want every management personnel to have a 4 year formal education from an credited college. Starting the second quarter of this year if you as a manager do not have a formal degree and or can not perform the duties of your subordinates you will need to find work elsewhere. Oh and one last thing I want to hear from UNION MEMBERS ONLY for additional suggestions, PLEASE. Thank you and have a profitable contract, God Bless and peace be with you. Lowell...

This is funny, but it does point out what has been a serious problem for Verizon. When management pensions were eliminated the quality of first-level managers took a nose-dive, which continues to this day.
You probably shouldn't post on the internet.
You said "an credited college" when you should have said "An accredited college".
Maybe the place you got your "formal degree" from, only accepted credit?
I'm a C/O Tech ....... I know for a fact reading a worddoc is not an easy thing to do. A few days in a training class is not sufficient. I pride myself as a quick study but if you haven't looked at one of these things before or in a while you can't figure it out. It takes a while to master and every C\O has its quirks that only the techs who work there have figured out. That's why they stopped installs because they couldn't provision.
LOL
The funniest thing is you don't even know how to spell your own last name, Lowell!! LOL!!
If he really typed this out it would do wonders to repair relations with the associates but we know that isn't going to happen.
Union folk can't spell and not smart enough to use a spell check...
I think they did a fine job. It was like they were working for the union.
