Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Reminisce about the trolls, scabs and EWAs and all the BS they were posting!

"this strike is like nothing ive seen before, cross before your job is gone"

"company is serious this time, you wont be coming back"

"contractors in place, ewas to return to their jobs"

"cross while you still can, be a man" -yeah thanks for that advice a week before union won

"you fell right into the companies plan, you walked out in your jobs and now you will never come back"

"phase 1, phase 2, then phase 3 its all been set in motion ( i feel like i was reading a script for the movie the 5th wave)"

"you will be locked out May 20th and never come back"

"we have done such a good job that we are out of work by noon"- yeah thats why for 2 weeks they need unlimited OT

"bob mudge held a conference call this morning, they are moving forward with contractors taking your jobs forever"

"this is not like 1989, its different now company has the upper hand"

"chris shelton is on a private jet to nantucket for the memorial day weekend while you have to spend it picketing"

"you will stay out for months only to get the LBFO anyway, dont be a sheep, cross while Verizon will still take you back"

ALL I CAN SAY IS WE WON AND WE WON BIG!!!

Ill be enjoying my pension before the end of the next contract while you EWAs are uploading your resumes to monster.com after being riffed! And you scab contractors will be bragging to your buck tooth inbred inlaws bout the time you "came up north and made real money for a few weeks" and the reply is "damn! you made more then $10 a hour uncle luke? yee haw yous was rich"

"I have marketable skills" (yet I work here)

I have to travel 100 miles each way to my job and I do it proudly because I don't have or need a union. My kids have a new daddy now because I slave so many hours for Verizon with no overtime pay. But hey thats how it is now and I accept that because I took a business class in college and the professor said it was so. And when they RIF me next quarter I'll be happy to go to a new company with my marketable degree.

I don't have a pension and I don't need one because I am smart enough to invest my money in winning stocks because I listen to the financial gurus on AM talk radio during my 2 hour+ commutes. See Union people pensions are the way of the rotary phone. Steve Forbes is right , pensions are only for the top 5% of the company.

You should strive , neglect your family, never take sick time and work from home on holidays chasing the dream of becoming the 5%.

When your 75 in the supermarket buying canned cat food at least you can tell the checkout girl how hard you worked in your prime years before you got tossed out like yesterday's trash by your employer.

And of course on the way home you stop at that CWA guys house and pick through his garbage cans for the 5 cent bottle and cans to return while cleansing your hand with your old degree in business studies.

The company said they estimated 40% would cross when they took our benefits, turned out less than 1% did.

We got this contract for ourselves, they didn't want to give us anything.

"I'm a proud EWA and your job is easy. My father was a doctor and my mother was a lawyer. Not sure of the relevance of bringing that up, but I had to mention it. I have a Master's Degree and marketable skills. I know about quantum mechanics and how to fill out a spreadsheet. Oh and for some reason, I need to get it out there that I'm bisexual and am very open-minded, tolerant and mature. I'm perfect and am content with my current lot in life. You union guys yelled at me from the picket line, so you are all stupid, fat, lazy, dirty, uneducated, illiterate slobs. Also, it's you're not your."

"I just completed a full triple play in 2 hours. I'm in-shape, attractive, have a lot of marketable skills, have several advanced college degrees, my customer was happy to see me, as all I did was run some coaxial cable, active set top boxes and program the remote controls. We are all caught up and they gave me a week off. Don't understand what's so hard about this job. You guys are definitely overpaid and should take Verizon's generous offer."

I'm printing this out. Going to look at it everyday to remind me of all the B.S. and lies these a-holes put out. Will not be forgotten.

"Steve Forbes said nobody uses rotary phones any more, so you should take what the company is giving you and stop listening to your union bosses who only want to enrich themselves. Unions are no longer needed, because VZ is giving their LBFO based on their benevolence and concern for your well-being"

But they still post, nothing they say matters. They lost because they are losers. These jobs are skilled, one week of training was a joke. I thank the union for everything I have.

"I'm not a scab so I can brag about the billion dollars I am supposedly making in this strike in order to easily accept my RIF and take my marketable sills and tell you all this job entails is putting two wires together, but I'm really doing it for my family and I want to help our customers"
