Remember pay phones, Verizon got out of that business, while others got in only to be disrupted by cell phones. Wake up and smell the coffee folks. Its going to happen to the rest of wireline. Only Verizon will sell it to the phony phone companies avoiding the loss. Its the perfect storm. You never see it coming until its right on top of you.
The only thing Verizon wants to get rid of is the union and high wages! If it means temporarily selling all its wireline to do so it will. Verizon runs wireline out of town with 5g , sinks those companies then buys them back pennies on the dollar!

If you think that major corps, 911, hospitals or how about Wall Street are going to rely on 5g wireless then you are a moron! These tests that show you these speeds are in the perfect environment. Throw in some mighty tall buildings in rural and city landscapes and you have some major problems with reliability and capability. Did you know in a perfect environment that you can achieve 1.8 gps on copper? But not in the real world. sh-- 5g isn't even being tested in a real life situation in any major city yet and you think wires will be gone in 3 1/2 yrs? Please stop drinking the Kool aid because you are making a fool of yourself. Also how is the fiber plant that is needed for 5g going to be built? Anyone who thinks 5G is snake oil has no business working for a technology company. It's this kind of thinking that causes technology companies to become a thing of the past. Even if you don't like the technology it is coming and will be everywhere come 2020.

Unfortunatelly, this is what people think of the union now. When MCI was bought by VZ I was warned about the union and it's sense of entitlement. Everyone except the union themselves views the union as a problem to deal with.
5G is a snake oil. If it gets built out and people sign on they're going to be very unhappy with the service.
