This "agreement" is nothing for than the LBFO with an extra year. We got had -- this strike wasn't for us, it was for the union to be able to get wireless into the union.
We lost 7 weeks of pay for no benefit to us! We got used to get wireless a contract.

Let's face it, the CWA had their backs against the wall. For the Union membership to say otherwise would simply be delusional. The Union membership can say otherwise but quite frankly Verizon had it well orchestrated from a legal stand point and Verizon appeared willing to lose money on the business. God knows they spent a fortune and appeared willing to spend more.
It may be that there is an awareness that wireline may be getting sold to a more Union friendly company and the CWA agreed to the present terms knowing times ahead would be better. Just speculating on that but honestly, I am a bit curious why Verizon appears to have caved. Very odd.
