Last couple of guys that had tried that in our shop lasted about six months each before getting fired. And I mean fired not RIF'd.
You screw with us. We screw your numbers up in return. You start forging them because there's nowhere else to go. Several calls over the next few months to a well-known-number and you're out. As much as the company doesn't like its union workforce, they won't risk a lawsuit over your playing with people's paychecks. They'll just escort you out one morning. No severance pay or anything along those lines. No "thank you" either.
As for the "sir", nonsense...please. I have yet to meet a manager - on any level - who expects to be addressed in that manner.
