The unions, not just VZ, but any union considered vital to the National economy or security of this nation, enjoyed the protection of the Bush administration's labor department because the Middle East wars were raging & we were not going to go on strike. VZ was thrown a bone- & we get a contract. No strikes for 10 years.
THOSE DAYS ARE OVER!
2 strikes in 4 1/2 years. 9 weeks of pay gone. The union lives on, but this may happen again. What can you do? Save your money people. Please please please, I beg of you, my union brothers and sisters, to save a strike fund and insulate yourself from the storms & strife of strike. Savings will save you regardless of who is president of the country or the company or the union. Just do it.
