Most news stations do not want to upset one of their biggest advertisers AT&T. They cannot buy off everyone so if your call center, sales desk or any other business unit has announced cutbacks, layoffs or anything else with job reductions, send a tip (sometimes a few times) to your local media newspaper website or TV station. AT&T can't hide the truth forever and not every journalist is a bought off corporate shill. this is one of the only responses we have during this difficult time. National news companies don't care about this unless its thousands all at once but a local news station or newspaper might.

I'm from the Verizon side. Main stream media didn't want to post about our strike. I call small town USA home. Our local Newspaper did one initial article and we had to beg for the second. If it didn't effect people they really didn't care. You want it on the news there needs to be a mass outage of cell service/internet for extended time or running around like a bunch of monkey's destroying sh--!!!!
If you call the media or use email be very wise and use a phone or email address that cannot be linked to you. Don't be foolish enough to think you will be anonymous. The media will love to use you for more headlines.
Our center in El Paso Tx has been firing reps since January for "performance"..six so far and many are on finals which mean they will have about a month to improve...many of us were within a year of retirement. Some of us moved here from back east leaving family so we could retire hopefully. They say we have to be at 100% metrics... hard to maintain if you have any integrity. We smell a rat ...since alot of us haven't been at 100% for years but now are being aggressively disciplined and then firing us...and most of us over 50 and within retirement. Since most of us have over 15 years of service myself 19 years and within 1 yr of the 20 yrs to get medical benefits and retirement they dropped me with no regard to the excellent service I provided...they are not interested in customer service anymore it's get them off the phone as fast as you can if you can't upsell or get a sale from the customer. We deal with retention calls and alot of the calls we get is billing problems and other things that should have been resolved months before, however when you ask the customer "did you speak with billing about this?" They usually say they couldnt answer their questions...so we get these calls which take time to resolve.I don't know if you ever have had problems getting resolved but it takes a few months to resolve and that's if you get one of us who were very well trained. I am not a disgruntled ex employee I am just shocked that for 19 years of service and within 11 months of being able to retire they kick us to the curb..I always thought I would be able to retire with a company that blessed me with so much and I felt was a company with integrity...it saddens me that is not the company they turned out to be in the last year.God bless to my other co workers who show up everyday with fear in their hearts that this could be their last day as well...nothing is secure anymore. Please dear customer please know we want to help you but if you get passed around it's not our fault it's the norm now not to be on the phone with you that long..please forgive them they want to keep their jobs...God bless you all
I think telling the media has to be carefully worded. What Randall, board et al have done was sink titanic with a series of costly, poorly excecuted deals starting with failed T-Mobile and hiding behind this madeup 2020 automation paradigm. Job cuts continue to be a buffer for just buying stuff willy nilly.
No ones making Randy accountable to the fact that he hasn't earned his keep. He has created anything viable. The only thing he does well is talk...about this software/internet company which hasn't produced the killer product/service outside of wireless and the access pipes, which predate him and are apart of someone else's legacy.
