Some locals vote via mail, some vote in person. To run a vote before RTW would mean additional weeks out on the street. Maybe that why some heard 6/1 and othe re s different dates?

The reason that it is so secretive is do to the fact that the union, the company and Perez have nt finished sucking each others cocks.

Just because we are in a Union doesn't mean that we have to, or must, trust blindly. Your assertion is comical.

Labor Secretary and head of mediation will have ensured a fair deal for both sides. Probably the same deal that would have been reached through mediation pre-strike but guess we will never know. We should all be satisfied with fair. Thinking there was going to be some massive victory one way or another is comical. At this point we have to trust the leadership we voted in.

RTW is 6/1 with ratification later.

There may be a stipulation in the RTW agreement that we can't go back out if we don't ratify.

From my union local. Looks like there will be a "back to work agreement" and we will be going back before ratification. Possibility of Weds to get members health insurance back. I for one do not want to go back before ratification.

Agree w/ Timmy that speculation doesn't make sense. But the silence and secretive approach from our CWA leadership about the details is very concerning. If there are "big gains" tell us what they are already. Don't tell us to trust while you keep us in the dark.

So far we have been told 6/1, but and there is a big but to this, the company and union still have to work out all the details in writing. Once each side's legal teams review the document and approve, only then will the union tell their membership to return to work. Then the contract will be put to the membership to ratify, a process that will take several weeks.

its interesting the company nor union has provided any details on the content of the agreement. All we are hearing are rumors and they change hourly. One moment we hear the union caved and the next hour the company gave in to demands. I'm sure there is something in the middle, but not going to speculate who and how much was gained or lost on either side.

Have to vote to ratify contract first. That process dictates RTW date.

Was wondering the same thing - why such hesitation to post a return date. EWAs have been told to be prepared to stay until 6/16 in some areas. In others they've been told that a date won't be known until after 6/1. I wonder if return date is different based on CWA/IBEW and individual locals?
