If our big win was the pension plan, it wasn't a win for many of us and we compromised our future. I feel used!

You were used.
Another BR troll trying to divide and conquer after their defeat.
Hey idiot, you can always get another job. That's what normal people do. You Union types are so whiney.
"What I didn't know was that we would sell out in other areas so others in "the union" could keep theirs."
What other areas did we get sold out on? Please advise since I'm truly trying to understand exactly what you're referring to. Thanks
I knew I didn't have a pension when I was hired.. What I didn't know was that we would sell out in other areas so others in "the union" could keep theirs....I sacrificed the same thing you guys did over the last 6 weeks. I'm happy for you guys if that was your priority but I'm bummed out we would choose that to fight for and give back in other areas......so in other words I have less than what I was promised when I was hired.
I haven't read that pensions were the big win 3% increase was just one of the gains
i do believe you were hired fully knowing you weren't going to get a pension and this is not the union who has taken that from you it's the company
"Yeah, I was hired after last contract. "
If that's the case I'm certain that you were told - before you signed anything - that new hires such as yourself are not pension-eligible? So you knew this going in.
Am I happy about that state of affairs? Hell, no. I'm not happy about people hired after 2003 having no layoff protection either.
If you're unhappy with your local leadership, vote them out. Bring in the people who'll represent your interests better. Change is a slow process, but it works out in the end, more often than not.
Wishing you the very best of luck.
Well when you took the job you knew you weren't getting a pension. If between now and the time you leave it happened, that's a bonus.
Yeah, I was hired after last contract. Our union isn't unified I'm that way and then have the guts to make the pension plan their big win...after all of this
Only if you were hired after the last contract, all others have a pension.
