Let not be so upbeat, 2003ers still have no coverage, some don't have pensions, we have yet to see the details, remember from the unions mouth, they won't release everything until they talk to us at our shops, ever wonder why? Details people, we are jumping up and down, lets be patient. I am afraid of what they are hiding.

That may or may not be the case this time around. Many local leaderships have paid for shoving the last contract down their members' throats. They must be kept in check.
Let's insist on finding out the fine details first...as in prior to voting.

I'm @rxh below. So how do you all think the members will take it if there are givebacks? As I said, im not union so just curious if there are things that could cause the members to vote the contract down? I wish we all knew what the final agreement was. I don't like the secrecy surrounding this settlement. Like I said, I sincerely do hope it's something that can be accepted so we can all get back to a bit of normalcy. My folks on EWA are tired and ready to come back. And I have to say, they never had a negative word to say about those in the picket lines. They were in a call center, and they said there was never any harassment and they never felt threatened. For that, I was very grateful. So I can honestly say I have no ill-will towards the union members.
Was it really paid on full. The Tech's will make that up on no time at all. How much longer will it take Verizon to recover.
What does it matter anyway? Top craft coughed up 9K+ for four years (3 really) contract. Anything and I mean anything gained or kept was paid for in full. Wake up guys.

If you don't like what the contract is just quit. After 6 weeks on strike it's going to be ratified whether you like it or not.
The Union is a business, so as long as you keep paying 20 bucks a week, if your medical goes up it doesn't hurt CWA, they got some wireless workers, but they gave something to get that, wireline had to lose something.

The point is I have heard sign on bonus, no sign on, no give backs, givebacks has anyone heard about the call centers, the ones being maned by only a few, are they protected from closing? June 1st, June 6th? I am quite sure people just hear what they want, this contract in its entirety should appear online for viewing, then allow say 3 or 4 days to vote on it, I shouldn't need to be sold anything with " its the best we could do " speech. People continue to push for the truth. In my opinion going back without seeing the contract is a mistake, you get used to the honey then you don't want to go back out.
Well I certainly hope it works out well. I'm ready to have my people back from their EWA assignments and get back to normal life. The union is a viable, talented workforce. Yes, I may be anti union in philosophy, but it's never aimed at anyone personally. Just a difference in how we see things. But one thing I will happily admit is that those with 20 plus years of experience are much more qualified than those who just went through training. So, hoping you all are satisfied and come back and do what you're skilled at, so the rest of us can get back to doing what we're skilled at. At the end of the day, we are all Verizon.

Yep ... need all the facts. VZ did not roll over and give in without having some future plan. Maybe release all the non-protected, etc. Just too much NOT known at this moment.
