If you rejoin the union you will be fined much more than $1250. Probably gonna need some new tires and paint, too

You should send a letter (same process when you crossed) requesting reinstatement.

Shame ... nope, not at all. Shame, like guilt is a worthless emotion that is used to control or harm another person. I have no shame what so ever for that hours that I have worked the last week.
The Union decided to strike. That is there business, I could care less what they did. I decided to work; that is my business and I could care less what anyone thinks about it.
Maybe a lifetime of shame in the northern states but down in Maryland and Virginia it really isn't a big deal whether you crossed.
You also get one other bonus...

@1nkv ,, does not matter, still gets signing bonus. I suspect though the CWA would be glad to take them back if for no other reason than to keep getting the dues.
Yes you get the signing bonus. No you do not get RIFed as you are protected by the contract unless you were hired after 2003. Even then, you will get an IPP or EISP.

If you were an associate employee that crossed you get the Ratifcation bonus same as people who went on strike.
