REMEMBER THE SCABS

Now that its about over don't forget your fellow co scabers who crossed the picket line while we stayed out only to get the same reward.

Ignore them. Treat them as if they don't exist. Watch what you say to them. The scab could be recording your conversation. Don't trust them.

@grg, wanna bet? My position at VZ allows me some incredible access and can make your life a living hell... However, because I'm professional and love my job and Verizon, I will not jeopardize my position. You now just scurry along you fat piece of S**T whale.

Life in a public utility as a scab is not fun. Climb a pole and work 19 inches away from a 15k volt power line, when the coworkers spotting for you don't give a sh-- if you live or die. Back up your truck and scratch a highway barrier with your bumper and your co-workers tell your boss, "I think he was texting while he was backing up... I'm not sure, I don't like to hang around him, because he always seems like he's drunk or on drugs."

Show up 3 minutes late and no one in your crew covers for you, instead they all say, "sh--, we never look for him until 20 minutes after he's due to check in."

Call dispatch for help and a guy with a bucket shows up and looks at the 30-foot shell-rotted pole that's leaning 10 degrees and is festooned with poison sumac, and says, "No reason you can't trim that and then climb it," and then drives away.

"Remember the union as it once was with its 3% reduction in workforce year over year..."

Where are you getting this 3% info from? It comes down to 1170/year, presuming a 39K union workforce. I'd venture a guess that is actually less than what was lost to retirement over the past 4 years, with no such clause in place...

@Jfp....luckily you will be able to return to your normal basement dwelling standards. I will start paying your mom for her services but probably won't back pay her. Her contract isn't as strong as ours.
